The Crossroads Committee at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research strives to broaden the interaction between students, postdoctoral researchers, and core and staff scientists. Comprised of members from each of these groups, the Crossroads Committee sponsors integrative events such as the annual Young Investigators Science Retreat, which promotes internal collaboration and fosters a sense of community within the Stowers Institute. The committee also organizes a variety of professional development workshops covering skills such as funding searches, grant writing, oral presentation skills, and effective manuscript writing. Ultimately, the Crossroads Committee is dedicated to serving the diverse interests and needs of the Stowers scientific community.
