Research Technician - Genome Engineering

The Stowers Institute has an opening for a Research Technician with the Genome Engineering team. 

Responsibilities include performing PCR, gel-electrophoresis, DNA purification and quantification, fragment-assembly cloning, bacterial transformations, clone isolation, and some cell culture tasks; use of Excel and online tools to track project information; use sequence analysis software to design, annotate, and analyze data. 

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, pay attention to details, good communication skills, a good aseptic technique and be motivated to work independently while still working together as a team.

Minimum requirements include an undergraduate degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, or genetics, and prior experience in a laboratory setting.
