The Interdisciplinary Graduate Program at KUMC

Many of the Stowers researchers have appointments to the graduate faculty at KUMC.  For the past 11 years, graduate students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IGPBS) at University of Kansas Medical Center have had the opportunity to undertake laboratory rotations and doctoral research at the Stowers Institute with these affiliated faculty. We are a strong supporter of the IGPBS. Students in the program perform their course work at KUMC and their research in a Stowers laboratory. Upon successful completion, the student will receive a Ph.D. from one of KUMC’s eight degree granting programs. Potential students apply directly to the IGPBS program. The deadline for applications is generally around the middle of January for the Fall start date. Please check the IGPBS website for more information.
