The GSSIMR predoctoral researchers recently completed all their required coursework and, in just five months from the start of the program, are now fully immersed in research.
With their focus now solely on research, the predocs immerse themselves in the science of their rotation lab. Each two-month rotation will be an opportunity for the development of a short-term project, the fruitful exchange of ideas, and the meeting of scientific minds. After three rotations, each predoc pairs up with a thesis lab and a mentor that will guide them through their thesis work. By early summer, the predocs will settle on their thesis lab and begin the research that will ultimately lead to their PhD.
With a passion for research that brought them to the Stowers Institute, predocs are in their element and beginning to spread their scientific wings!
