"I attended the Society for Developmental Biology Annual Meeting. It was a great experience to meet and talk to people working in the developmental biology field and keep up with the latest findings!"

"I spent a week attending the Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Chromosome Dynamics. The conference was preceded by a two-day Gordon Research Seminar (GRS), which provided students with an opportunity to network in a more casual environment. This format helps build confidence and creates a comfortable atmosphere for students, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in both the science and the community. I presented my research through a talk and poster. Sharing my science is always an immensely valuable experience, as it opens new avenues for my project and sparks collaborations with other researchers in the field. Presentations covered a wide range of topics related to chromosome dynamics, bridging the gap between junior and senior scientists. This encouraged the free exchange of ideas and technologies and fostered many new interactions within the community."

Dung Vuu, a Ph.D. student in the Sánchez Alvarado Lab, presenting at ISRB 2025

“I really enjoyed attending the International Society of Regenerative Biology (ISRB) meeting. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the regeneration field and hear about new findings. I also valued the chance to discuss science with peers and experts, which provided me with valuable feedback on my project.”

Erika Pinto, a Ph.D. student in the Sankari Lab

“This summer, I attended the GRC conference on the Organization, Dynamics, and Development of Bacterial and Archaeal Cells. It was a great opportunity to meet experts from around the world working on bacterial cell differentiation and to exchange ideas. The experience gave me new insights into my own research and where I could take it in the future. It also provided exposure to new techniques in high-resolution bacterial imaging.”

Michay Diez, a Ph.D. student in the Gerton Lab

"This summer, I had the opportunity to visit and present my work at my alma mater, the Chascomús Technological Institute of the National University of General San Martín in Argentina. Reconnecting with former professors and colleagues was a gratifying experience that brought me great joy. I also received valuable feedback from my professors, which I am now actively incorporating to strengthen my work."
