Max is a postdoctoral research associate in the Li lab. Max discovered his passion for scientific research as a sophomore at the University of Kentucky studying posttranslational modification regulation with Dr. Luke Bradley. A summer internship with Dr. Timothy McClintock researching spatial expression of murine olfactory receptors further solidified his career path. Max earned his doctorate under Dr. Shangqin Guo where he identified a Yeats4-targetting molecule to promote chromatin accessibility and reprogramming efficiency. He also enjoys racket sports, hiking, and playing D&D.
