Before joining the Institute, Malloy spent five years with the Anatomic Pathology team at Children’s Mercy and has a background in both pre-clinical and clinical histology. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry and business from Baker University in 2009. He has been HTL certified by the ASCP since 2013 and has worked with more than 20 research organisms over the duration of his career.
Malloy is an expert in tissue embedding, sectioning, and biological stains, including special staining techniques, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
